Introduction

Yes, there is no limit on the number of users that can count in an area.

However, there are a few things to consider if it will help your counting process.

When multiple users count in the same area, items appear on the app’s “Current Scans” screen in the order they are added. Each item displays the name of the user that counted it on the bottom right corner.

The Stockroom Current Scans screen. Each item shows the user that counted it on the bottom right.

This may make it harder to use the “List View” when taking the next inventory count because it displays previously counted items in the order they are submitted.

Note: There is currently no way to filter the list by the user that submitted the item.

Below you’ll find tips on the best ways to count with more than one user, and when it’s best to just have one.

Multiple Users Counting Tips

Consider having more than one user count in an area:

  • If you don’t use the Previous List, and scan the item barcodes / use the search every time you take inventory. If double checking counts, the user will need to look for their name beside the item.

  • If you want to use the previous list, have the users working together in the area. For example they are working across a shelf together from left to right, not on opposite sides of the space. This keeps the “Previous list” relatively intact

Note: If you have a user that is taking the count in offline mode, remember to have them reconnect to the internet so those counts will sync to the inventory as well.

One User Counting Tips

If you have a large area that could benefit from having multiple users counting, consider splitting the area into smaller sections instead.

For example, if you have a “Main Bar” area, you could split it up by having areas for:

  • Main Bar - Fridges

  • Main Bar - Left Shelf

  • Main Bar - Right Shelf

This way each user is responsible for a section and can choose to use the “Previous List” without issue.
