Introduction

If taking an inventory and you accidentally count items in the wrong area, you can move them on the WISK Web Portal.

When moving counted items, you can move them to:

  • another area in the same inventory

  • any other previous inventory count

Note: Moving counted items in only available on the WISK Web Portal. You cannot move items in the mobile app at this time.

Moving Counted Items

If you counted items in the wrong area, you can move as many as needed. In this example we tapped into the Stock Room to count, but actually weighed open items from the Main Bar.

The "Stock Room" is highlighted to show these items were counted there

Instead of having to delete the counts in the Stock Room, and re-weigh the items in the Main Bar, you can move them on the WISK Web Portal.

When we move items, they are removed from the current area, and added to the selected one.

Selecting Counts to Move

To move items from one inventory area to another, go to the WISK Web Portal and:

  1. On the "Inventories" page, click the pencil button next to the inventory where you need to move counted items

    An arrow
  2. Click "Continue" beside the area that has the items that need to be moved. In this example we counted a number of partial bottles in the Stock Room that were supposed to be counted in the Main Bar

An arrow points to the "Continue" button beside the Stock Room area
  3. Place your cursor over an item in the Summary section and a checkbox appears. Click the checkbox beside each item you want to move

An arrow points to the checkbox beside the counted items

  4. After selecting all items to move, click the "Move inventory entries" button

The items have been selected and an arrow points to the "Move inventory entries" button

Selecting Destination Inventory & Area

After selecting the counts/entries to move, you must select the inventory and area:

  1. Click the "Inventory" drop-down menu

The "Inventory" drop-down menu is highlighted for emphasis
  2. Click the inventory where you want the items to go. Your current inventory count appears at the top of the list

An arrow points to the ongoing inventory count

Note: In most cases you'll move counts in the same inventory

  3. Click the "Area" drop-down menu and select the destination area. In this example we accidentally counted in the Stock Room and want to move the entries to the Main Bar

An arrow points to the area to move the items to

  4. Review that the selected inventory area are correct and click "OK"

The Inventory and Area are highlighted and an arrow points to the "OK" button

  5. Click "OK" on the confirmation message

An arrow points to the "OK" button
  6. The selected inventory entries are removed from the current area, and added to the selected one. The entries are added in the same order they appeared

The Stock Room area is now empty because the items have been moved

Reviewing the Move

After moving the counts/entries, you'll see them in the selected inventory and area.

In this example, the items were moved from the Stock Room to the Main Bar in the same inventory. Click "Continue" to view the items in the new area.

If there are already counted items in the destination area, the moved items are added at the end of the existing counts. When items are moved, they appear in the same order they appeared in the other area.
