WISK Restaurant - Allergen Tags on Items

You can create allergen tags and add them to your Food inventory items. Each recipe will have a list of allergens based on the items used.

Introduction

If using WISK Restaurant/a Food venue, you can create allergens and add them as tags at the item level. When items with allergens are added to Batches or POS Items, you’ll be able to see all of the allergens in the recipe.

Creating Allergens

To create an allergen:

  1. On the “Items” page of the WISK Web Portal, click “Actions”, then “Manage Allergens”

    The actions button is highlighted and an arrow points to the "Manage Allergens" option in the drop down menu.
  2. Click “Add allergen”

    An arrow points to the "Add allergen" button.
  3. Enter the name of the allergen in the “Title” field and click “OK”

    "Wheat" has been entered in the title field and an arrow points to the "OK" button.
  4. The allergen now appears in the list. You can add additional allergens, edit existing allergens (click the pencil icon), or delete allergens (click the red box)

    "Wheat" now appears in the list of allergens.

Adding Allergen Tags to an Item

After adding allergens to your venue, you can tag items with them.

Individual Items

To add an allergen tag to an item:

  1. Click the “Edit” button beside an item

    An arrow points to the pencil icon beside the item, Bread Flour.
  2. Scroll down and find the “Allergens” field and click the drop-down arrow

    On the "Edit Item" window, the Allergens field is highlighted.
  3. Click all applicable allergens from the list to add a tag to the item

    The drop-down arrow beside "Allergens" has been clicked and it shows all the possible allergens that can be selected.
  4. The selected allergens are added to the item

    The allergen, Wheat, has been added to the Bread Flour Item.

Multiple Items

To add an allergen tag to multiple items at a time:

  1. On the Items page, click the checkboxes beside each item you want to assign an allergen

  2. On the menu that appear on the right, scroll down to find the "Allergens" field and click the drop-down menu

    The "Allergens" option on the right hand side is highlighted for emphasis.

  3. Click an allergen from the drop-down menu

  4. The chosen allergen is added to the selected items

    The selected items now have the "Dairy" allergen applied.

Viewing Allergens

After adding allergen tags to an item, you can toggle on the “Allergens” column on the following pages of the WISK Web Portal:

  • Items

  • Batches

  • POS Items

On the Batches and POS Items screen, it will show all of the allergens that are in the recipe based on the items used.

Items

The "Allergens" column has been toggled on, and the column is highlighted where it appears in the table on the "Items" page.

Batches

The "Allergens" column is highlighted on the "Batches" page.

POS Items

The "Allergens" column is highlighted on the "POS Items" page.
