How to count items during inventory that are no longer in stock

Introduction

When taking inventory using the "Previous list" in the mobile app or WISK Web Portal, if an item's no longer in stock, you can either:

  1. Submit the item with a count of 0. Use this if you want to keep the item's place in the previous list for next time

  2. Hide the item on the previous list or ignore it

Submit as 0

Submitting an item as 0 keeps its place in the "previous inventory" list. When you take your next count you'll see the item that was counted as 0 in the same spot.

Use this if an item is temporarily out of stock in an area, and you want to keep its place for the next inventory count.

Note: If you don't need to keep the item's place for your next count, you can Hide / Ignore the item.

Mobile App

In the mobile app, you can submit items as 0 directly from the previous list, or when an item is scanned.

Previous List

  1. On the "View by previous inventory" swipe the item to the left

  2. Tap "Submit as 0"

  3. Tap "Yes, submit" on the confirmation window

    Note: This message displays each time you submit an item as 0 unless you tap "Don't show again"

  4. To check the item was submitted as 0, tap "Review item counts"

  5. The item with a count of 0 appears on the area summary

    The item appears on the summary with a count of 0.

Called up Item

  1. Tap the confirm button without adding any counts

  2. Tap "Yes, submit" on the confirmation window

  3. The item is submitted with a count of 0

Next Inventory Count

When you take your next inventory count in the mobile app, you'll see the items submitted with a count of 0 in the previous list.

You can submit new counts or put them as 0 again.

WISK Web Portal

To submit an item as 0:

  1. On the "Previous inventory" view, place your cursor over the item and click the "Submit as 0" button

  2. The item submits with a count of 0

    During the next inventory the item appears on the "Previous inventory" list

When you take your next inventory count, the item appears in the same spot in the "Previous inventory" view. You can submit a new count, or put it as 0 again if needed.

Hide / Ignore

If the item is no longer in stock, or not at that specific spot in the area, you can choose not to count it. The item won't appear in the previous list when you take your next inventory.

You can skip the item on the previous list, or hide it.

Mobile App

On the mobile app, there are multiple ways to hide / ignore items while counting:

  1. Ignore it and move onto the next item on the list

  2. Swipe it to the left and tap hide

WISK Web Portal

On the "Previous inventory" view, you can either:

  1. Ignore the item on the list and move onto the next, or

  2. hide it by placing your cursor over the item and clicking the "Hide" button
