Just turn on the scale, Bluetooth on your device, and it's ready to use.

You don't need to download the app from the manufacturer to use the scale with WISK.

When the scale connects, your device beeps and you'll see a message in the app.

The "Scale connected" message that appears in the app.

Note: Don't connect more than one scale to a device at a time.

If you're having trouble getting the Bluetooth scale to connect, try the following:

Note: If your scale is connected and you've place an item on it, but the reading appears incorrect, see "My Bluetooth Scale/App doesn’t match the amount remaining in the item"

Enable Bluetooth and Scale Connections

Step 1.1 - Check that your device's Bluetooth is enabled

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to access the device's Settings

  2. Tap the Bluetooth icon to enable

  3. Swipe down to close the Settings

Step 1.2 - Check WISK Bluetooth App Permissions

  1. Open the iOS Device Settings

  2. Scroll down and tap WISK

  3. Toggle Bluetooth to "On" on the "Allow WISK to Access" menu.

Step 2 - Check that "Use Scale" is Toggled On

If the "Use Scale" button is toggled off, you won't be able to use the scale during an inventory.

You can check whether your device is set to use the scale on the Inventory Settings or during an inventory.

2.1 Inventory Settings Menu

  1. Tap the "More" button on the bottom menu bar

  2. Tap "Inventory settings"

An arrow points to the "Inventory settings" menu option
  3. Tap the "Use Scale" button

An arrow points to the "Use Scale" toggle button.
  4. Tap "Enable"

When you turn on the scale, the status should change from "Disconnected" to "Connected". When the scale connects to your device, your device beeps and you'll also see a confirmation message.

The "Connected" message then changes to show the current weight of an item on the scale.

Reconnect Your Device

If you're still having trouble connecting your device to the scale, it's possible your scale connected to another Bluetooth-enabled device first.

Try connecting your device again:

  1. Turn off your device's Bluetooth

  2. Turn off your Bluetooth scale (hold the Power button until it powers off)

  3. Then, turn both on simultaneously.

Note: Nearby devices can sometimes interfere by connecting to the scale first. You can tell this happened when it says a scale is "Connected", but doesn't display a weight. In this case, temporarily disable the Bluetooth on those devices if possible, and try again.

If it still doesn't connect, repeat the process a few more times as it may take more than one attempt.

Close App & Remove the Batteries from the Scale

Note: If using the Arboleaf Food Scale, the battery is built into the scale and cannot be removed - in that case this step can be skipped.

If you've tried the steps above, and the scale still won't connect to your device, try the following:

  1. Close the WISK Mobile app (double-tap the home button and swipe the WISK app upward)

  2. Remove the batteries from the compartment on the back of the scale and then put them back in

  3. Restart the WISK Mobile app

  4. Tap "More" and then "Inventory Settings". The scale should now show as connected.

Note: Please make sure you're closing the app and not having it run in the background.

Check for App Updates

Check the App Store page to make sure you're running the latest version of the app. It may be a known issue and updating to the latest version could resolve it.

Tap "More" along the bottom menu bar and scroll down to see your current downloaded app version.

The version of the app displays on the bottom of the "More" page.

Check the Hardware / Batteries

The Bluetooth scale is a precision instrument and may be damaged if subjected to rough treatment.

If the scale displays the "out2" message, you may need to replace it.

If you see a low battery icon, replace or recharge the batteries (either 2 or 3x AAA or 3x AA depending on the model).

Note: If the batteries are low, the scale may experience issues with maintaining the Bluetooth connection. Replace the batteries to ensure the best performance.

For more information, please consult the respective model's manuals / help pages:

Scale Still Won't Connect

After taking all of the steps above, if you're still unable to connect your device to the Bluetooth Scale, please contact WISK Support.

If you're under a time constraint and Support is unavailable, you can still weigh your items and enter the values into the app manually. For more information, please see this article.
