Introduction

Sometimes an archived or deleted POS Item causes issues with your sales and variance.

For example, you archived a POS Item months ago, and now you’re selling it again, and the sales appear to be missing in your account. By restoring the POS Item, it fixes the issue.

Or lets say you deleted some POS Items in WISK, but then did a complete overhaul of your POS configuration and now some of those POS Items are relevant and need to be restored.

Unarchiving a POS Item

To unarchive/restore a POS Item:

  1. On the left-hand menu bar, click "Sales" then "POS Items"

The "POS Items" button on the left side menu is highlighted.

  2. Find the POS Item you want to restore by using either the:

    • Search bar

    • or "Archived" filter

    Search

If using the search, it shows you if any archived items match the search term. Click the message to see the item(s):

An arrow points to the text that appears showing matching items.

    Archived Filter

To use the predefined filter, click the drop-down menu and select “Archived”

The "Archived" option on the drop-down is highlighted

  3. Click the checkbox beside the POS Item(s) you wish to restore

An arrow points to the checkbox beside the archived POS Item.

  4. Click “Restore” in the window that appears

The checkbox has been clicked and a window appears on the right side. An arrow points to the "Restore" button.

  5. Click “OK” on the confirmation window to restore the POS Item

An arrow points to the "OK" button on the confirmation window.

The POS Item is restored, and once again used in your sales data calculations.

Restoring a Deleted POS Item

If a POS Item is archived, there is an option to "delete" it. This doesn't actually delete it, but hides/removes it from the "Archived" filter to help reduce clutter.

You can still view these POS Items by using the "Deleted" filter, and can even restore them back to archived, or unarchived.

To restore a deleted POS Item:

  1. On the POS Items page, select the "Deleted" predefined filter

  2. All deleted POS Items display. Click the checkboxes beside the POS Items you want to restore

An arrow points to the checkboxes beside the deleted POS Items

Note: There is also a button called "Restore all deleted POS Items" which returns all deleted POS items to an unarchived state

  3. Click either of the following options on the side menu

    1. Archive - Moves the POS Item(s) from deleted to archived

    2. Restore deleted POS item - restores the item so it appears on POS Items by default

  4. Click "OK" on the confirmation window to return the POS Item(s) to archived or restore them

An arrow points to the OK button
